Indian indices opened on a positive note on October 31 with Nifty above 19,200.
The Sensex was up 223.77 points or 0.35 percent at 64,336.42, and the Nifty was up 62.30 points or 0.33 percent at 19,203.20. About 1520 shares advanced, 375 shares declined, and 77 shares unchanged.
Tata Motors, Hindalco Industries, BPCL, Cipla and Bajaj Auto were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were UPL, Bharti Airtel, Apollo Hospitals, M&M and Britannia Industries.
