Market Opens:

Indian indices opened higher on October 25 amid positive global cues.

The Sensex was up 148.70 points or 0.23 percent at 64,720.58, and the Nifty was up 43.30 points or 0.22 percent at 19,325.10. About 1740 shares advanced, 505 shares declined, and 107 shares unchanged.

Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Adani Ports and Adani Enterprises were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were NTPC, Power Grid Corp, SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Life and Bharti Airtel.
