Aluminium dropped after China’s monthly production reached record high in August updated by German calls

The aluminium market faced some significant fluctuations recently, with yesterday’s settlement showing a 1.01% decrease, closing at $201.7 per metric ton. This decline can be attributed to China’s substantial increase in primary aluminium production during August, with a 3.1% rise compared to the same month last year. The surge in production, particularly in Yunnan, driven by hydropower recovery, contributed to a total output of 3.6 million metric tons in China for the month.
