Natural gas prices saw a -2.22% decline yesterday, closing at 211.4 due to the forecast of cold weather over the next two weeks. However, several factors mitigated these losses. Forecasts indicate higher gas demand, reduced daily gas production and increased gas flows to liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facilities over the same period. Daily, gas production was expected to decline by about 2.7 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd), hitting an initial five-month low of 99.6 bcfd. This is the most significant one-day output decline since mid-June, although it is important to note that preliminary data often undergo revisions later in the day.
