Indian indices opened marginally higher on September 5.
The Sensex was up 69.58 points or 0.11 percent at 65,697.72, and the Nifty was up 18.60 points or 0.10 percent at 19,547.40. About 1643 shares advanced, 458 shares declined, and 97 shares unchanged.
Cipla, Coal India, Titan Company, Apollo Hospitals and Grasim Industries were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Hindalco Industries, JSW Steel, Bharti Airtel and Tata Steel.
