Indian indices opened on a positive note on August 29 with Nifty around 19350.
The Sensex was up 165.50 points or 0.25 percent at 65,162.10, and the Nifty was up 44.20 points or 0.23 percent at 19,350.20. About 1629 shares advanced, 414 shares declined, and 100 shares unchanged.
UPL, Power Grid Corp, JSW Steel, L&T and Adani Enterprises were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Apollo Hospitals, Reliance Industries, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, IndusInd Bank and Tata Consumer Products.
