Indian indices opened on May 23 with Nifty around 18350.
The Sensex was up 145.08 points or 0.23 percent at 62,108.76, and the Nifty was up 57.40 points or 0.31 percent at 18,371.80. About 1,364 shares advanced, 651 shares declined, and 92 shares were unchanged.
Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, BPCL, Britannia and Bajaj Finance were among the major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Apollo Hospitals, Coal India, Divis Labs, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Bajaj Auto.

निफ्टी पर अडानी एंटरप्राइजेज, अदानी पोर्ट्स, बीपीसीएल, ब्रिटानिया और बजाज फाइनेंस प्रमुख लाभ में थे, जबकि हारने वालों में अपोलो हॉस्पिटल्स, कोल इंडिया, डिविस लैब्स, कोटक महिंद्रा बैंक और बजाज ऑटो शामिल थे।
